I just bought a wireless keyboard and mouse for my PC. I bought it for a couple of reasons. Gaming: I don't know how many times I needed to do a really rapid movement in a real time game and got tangled up in cords. Result: SPLATTT! Second reason: movies. I am watching a ton of streaming media on my PC and sometimes I like to sit back on the couch and watch the screen just like regular tv. But that means getting up to rush over and use the wired mouse to change programs and so on...the wireless mouse becomes my "remote control".

I bought the Logitech MX5500 mouse and keyboard wireless combo and put it through the paces. I hit the sleep/standby button like I normally do (my computer is a behemoth and has multiple fans and draws power so I always put it in standby when not using it or leaving the apartment). After a while I wanted to use it again, and I hit the sleep button (which on the old keyboard would "wake up" the computer). No response. Then I realized that the system that runs the wireless receiver is probably also in sleep mode, so it can't receive the signal to wake up the computer! Luckily there is a secondary power button on the front that acts as a "wake up" as well.

Solve one problem....create another!
