Whenever I hear a conspiracy theory (Fahrenheit 9/11, HARP, Kennedy), I usually follow along and think out the logic. Many CT's have grown into cottage industries, supporting many movies, books, think tanks even.

However, for me, the one shining example of an anti-conspiracy -- the idea that things simply play out as they lay without constriction or manipulation by secret societies, central governments or holy orders -- is the personal computer.

No instrument in our history has put as much balance of power, as much knowledge as much information and enlightenment at our disposal as the PC. Yet, business and industry conspired, if you will, to deliver this Equalizer to peoples all over the planet. If such powerful entities exist or existed, then surely they have sown the seeds of their own destruction by placing computers in every household. And by allowing unfettered access to each other and to the Internet in general, they've opened up the knowledge of popes and kings to the Common Man.

How, could this be part of any evil conspiracy. In fact, the PC and the Internet erodes any and all other conspiracies by allowing people to shine the light on any mysterious or hidden knowledge and make it public really really fast and really widespread.
