I enjoy reading Obadiah Shoher's weblog, Samson Blinded: A Machiavellian Perspective on the Middle East Conflict, for considerable period. A few weeks ago, the author published an article that stunned me. Its point was, how many of followers would merely call 1-800 line and say anonymously, "I support you"? Tens of thousands visitors read the Samson Blinded routinely and concur with Shoher, but very few are willing to act even in insignificant issues. In the post, they asked f
or a minor issue: to help spread the word. And here I'm, writing about the weblog,.
Obadiah is an attorney, public figure, party leader. Obadiah writes exceptionally remarkable articles regarding Israel, Europe, and Arabs, confrontations and terrorism, peace and ideology. Shoher's points are very hot, but basically Shoher's saying mere truth, something that us in Israel arely encounter in media.
Obadiah's site was judged the best Jewish and Israeli blog in People's Choice Awards and scored highest in four more categories, but Google refused to promote it due to the "unacceptable content." Take a glance at http://www.samsonblinded.com/blog

A quick glance at the site you mention gives me the impression that it
might contain relatively objective information, even though it clearly shows
a non-mainstream perspective. Others (or myself) might look at it more
closely and post their impressions here.

I didn't find any reference to the calling of an 800-number there, though.
You mentioned it being anonymous, and I just wanted to correct that.
The WATS (800) technology includes a feature whose acronym escapes
me at the moment whereby the callee of the 800 number receives the
telephone number of the caller, even if that caller has blocked caller id
for their line. The callees agree to not misuse that information as part
of the service, and to use it only for valid business purposes.

Of course, there is little reason to believe that calls to an 800 number are
anonymous with respect to the US Government. Journalists over the
last few years have shown that calls are tracked and even tapped without
probable cause or warrant. Nothing I've heard since gives me any
confidence that this has changed recently.

If you could post a link to the particular article in which this use of
800 numbers was mentioned, I'd be interested in looking into it further.
