One great thing about infrastructure is that is levels the load. Before superhighways, we had city and country. The city was crowded, dank, and dirty for all but the wealthy. The country was farmland, distant and uneducated.

The superhighway allowed the middle class to have the beneficent sprawl of the wealthy, be closer to the food supply and cheap land, and at the same time "culture" spread west from the Hudson.

The slow growth and decay of infrastructure has allowed retrenchment and over leveraging. The middle class surge was unable to continue as the tentacles of power lines, economic ties and other utilities bound us in servitude.

Now, new 21st century infrastructure can let that creative spirit of the middle class spread unbounded again across America. The Hydrogen Highway is ready to be built. GM is calling for is KIA. The High Speed Rail network is ready to be built. Imagine escaping the concentric urbs of today, and building a Linear City...clean, with new jobs, fast access to resources and easy transport of goods...and being able to live in more places across the U.S.A.

Yes, the wave of 1940s that ushered in the wealth creation due to the work of Robert Moses, must be repeated and this time beyond the concentric and decaying 30 must spread into and build Agraria!
