I was travelling this week on vacation to San Diego. A pleasant trip however when returning via the Lindbergh Airport airport, the terminal for Alaska Air was very crowded which forced me to sit on the floor and that put me in a mode to criticize (sorry, consult).
When entering my airplane I noticed that First Class passengers were already seated. Now early seating may seem to be a benefit for the privileged, but to me, it appeared to be a detriment!
Early seating in the front mean they had to sit there as all us riff-raff trundled by with our over sized, cheap, carry-on luggage (don't want to pay that $25 fee).
I suggested out loud to my traveling companion (son, Gio) that perhaps they should seat First Class last, this way the cheaper seats will be filled and settled in. First Class passengers can wait in a luxury area, until the rest of the plane is ready to go, then enter and sit down quickly. In this way 1st Classers spend the least amount of time on the airplane (which no matter how frilly, is always an unpleasant place to be). |
