Just came across this site which describes the act of Gangstalking.

Is it really true? Frightening if so...fascinating none the same...

http://www.gangstalkingworld.com/GSFAQ.html

Quote:

Many Targeted Individuals are harassed and placed under surveillance in this way for months or even years before they realise that they are being targeted by an organised protocol of harassment.

What happens during this Gang Stalking surveillance is very similar to what happened to many innocent individuals in the former East Germany or Activists and Dissidents in Russia. Many innocent people in the former East Germany would be targeted for these harassment programs, and then their friends, family, and the community at large would be used to monitor, prosecute, and harass them. In Russia it was used by the state to declare activist, dissidents or anyone they thought to be an enemy of the state as mentally unfit and many were institutionalised using this form of systemic control.

The flip side of this is paranoia.

I had a relative once who confided in me that the people he encountered
in the course of the day were part of an evil cabal of emotional vampires
and demons. He was convinced, and I intuited that it was useless to
deny, that he was the victim of an organized program of psychic /
spiritual attack.

In talking to me he may have found one of the few people who could
actually take his ideas seriously. One of my personal qualities, in addition
to the ability to solve word jumbles quickly, is to embrace multiple
contradictory worldviews. So for me, he was paranoid, and it was real.
It was metaphorical, and literal. And there may be no way that I can
determine which it "really" is.

Paranoia in some sense is playing into someone else's game.

You start to think: oh yes, it's all controlled, etc. So, let's say "gangstalking" is 100 percent true...what then?

Anti-paranoia would be, yes, I can change my surroundings, it's not all predetermined or controlled.

That requires creativity, rather than acceptance.
