Vegetarian. Will not eat meat.
Vegan. Will not eat animal products.

Wow...we really limit our choices in life. It's all so -- digital! Why can't I be a vegetarian at breakfast, a vegan at lunch and a velociraptor at dinner? Surely, even the most ardent vegan may have, at age 6, hungrily wolfed down a McDLT at McDonalds, before food notions were learned about.

What I want are slider bar nouns. It's like when I listen to my stereo, sometimes there's parts of the music, or a song in an album that's really loud and I turn it down. Or it's soft voiced...I increase the volume. The strength and power is very flexible.

What I want is to be able soften (or harden) my words. And I want it to be temporal. At one point one way, at another point another. This behavior is often frowned upon -- it may have cost John Kerry an election ( "flip-flop" ). But we do it all the time...puffing ourselves up and backing down with our beliefs depending on the conflict.

With these digital references, we are almost bound to fight. I cannot be part you and part me...I can only be me which makes you want to fight me. I need adjectives that are better than "I'm 50 percent vegan". The reason is that I'm still using the word 'vegan'. I need a new word. Maybe English is wrong. Romance languages do the job with suffixes...veganette, or veganella (opps, that's getting dangerously sexual in the femine mode!).

Analog is always been the way I've been. I think the digital, although powerful, is a dehumanizing factor...and it's not necessarily nature. Yes, we see electrons jumping to fixed states, but we also see the infinite variation of superposition...capturing a gazillion states!

I want new nouns...a multitude of them. I want to be like those Margaret Meadean societies where they have 99 words for snow or 200 words for love. Only I would want them for things like political party.

"How did you vote in the last election?"

"Oh, I'm a Democratanelle."

"Sweet, I'm a Republicangrande."

That's all a matter of degree. Then there's time. How about circadean nouns and circumannular nouns...they would only last for a day or year respectively. There could be a little timer you could wear, or people could look it up on the web:

"Oh, he'll only be a Liberal for next 7 hours."

Truly we are so much at odds with each other, but only because our words put us in boxes...and that makes us fight. We want to be like clouds, free, expanding, contracting, intermingling, separating.

We want to be human.
