Jedi Mind Tricks
It crossed my mind that you crossed your fingers,
then you crossed your arms and blinked.
You'd love to tilt a book in a millionaire's mansion
to suddenly reveal …
You're always looking for a thread
to unravel, a
get-out-of-jail card,
a loophole to drive
through.
It's a trick of the wrist with a wink and a nod
use only as directed, cuz who's gonna know?
Its just a technicality, but that's what you're counting on
These aren't the droids you're looking for.
[These aren't the droids I'm looking for.]
No need to question further or to
read between the lines of print too fine to see
with just your human eyes. You'll need to
get your story straight, all cast in shades of grey, or
find a [quiet] little wiggle room, a little hidy place,
a place where quid meets quo, and so
before the ink is dry, you can apply your
trademark switcheroo, [ex]change
your address and [your] face...
Cuz your Jedi mind tricks, they're [just] not fooling us,
when your head is turned, we roll our eyes.
These aren't the droids you're looking for.

Missing comma in conditional clause,
nestled inside of brackets,
followed by an ellipsis.
Snuck in[to] footnotes, hidden in the addenda,
overlooked in the scandal from the fake dedication
[It’s] a trick of your wrist with just a wink or a nod
